Moving to Music City for good at 18, Winwood soon gravitated to the alternative-minded enclave of East Nashville, and shortly after began touring her songs all over the USA - opening for acts such as Brett Dennen and Todd Snider, and soon after performing on stage alongside names such as Michael McDonald and Emmy-Lou Harris. Lilly recorded a duet of ‘Higher Love’ with her father (Steve) for a 2016 Hershey’s commercial, which Adweek lauded as “a true anthem spot.” The song also appears in Netflix’s ‘Umbrella Academy’.

Winwood is set to release her next studio LP ‘Undiscovered Pleasure’ in 2026 with Winwood’s first single, “What Have We Got to Lose,” embodying her own evolution, blending romantic and slow-burning R&B with sensual, expressive vocals. With producer Dan Knobler at the helm (Lakestreet Dive, Allison Russell), the song merges soul with thoughtful lyricism. Winwood describes the song as a “cinematic daydream,” capturing the essence of vulnerability and openness.
